Foreign Language Placement Exams

All new undergraduates with prior knowledge of a foreign language are encouraged to take the language placement exam before the first semester begins. The placement exam may impact your upcoming class registration. Students enrolled in any Bachelor of Arts program or the International Business program are required to complete intermediate level two proficiency in a foreign language. This may include four semesters of a foreign language (Elementary 1 and 2, Intermediate 1 and 2). The placement exam may reduce the number of courses required.

Modern language exams (Spanish, French and German) may be completed online at the links provided below. You will be required to provide your student ID and create a password. Please enter your legal name as submitted on your application for admission to Franciscan University.
